One is the most expensive wireless mechanical I’d recommend for productivity work. The other is one of the cheapest I’d recommend for anything. So why compare them? Because they bracket the wireless mechanical price ladder — knowing what changes between $23 and $160 makes the in-between buying decisions easier.
Quick Verdict
Buy the Logitech MX Mechanical if you’re a productivity worker who lives across multiple machines and wants the polished, premium experience. Buy the Attack Shark M87 if you want to try wireless mechanical without committing real money, or if you need a knock-around second board for travel.

Build Quality
This is where the price gap shows up most. The Logitech feels expensive — aluminum top plate, heavy chassis, zero flex. The M87 feels exactly what it is: a $23 plastic keyboard. It works, it’s not falling apart, but you tap the case and hear hollow plastic. If build quality matters to you at all, the Logitech wins this by a country mile.
Typing Feel
Interesting one. The Logitech’s tactile quiet switches are crisp, accurate, and almost silent. Premium typing experience, hands-down better for office use. But the M87’s PBT SA-profile keycaps feel surprisingly nice once you adjust — sculpted caps guide your fingers, PBT has a great texture. Switch quality goes to Logitech, keycap material goes to M87. Net? Logitech wins, but the M87 isn’t as far behind as the price suggests.
Connectivity
M87 actually has more connection options on paper — Bluetooth, 2.4GHz dongle, AND wired USB-C. The Logitech is Bluetooth + Bolt receiver only. For pure spec count, M87. For polish and reliability, Logitech. The MX Mechanical’s three-device pairing is rock solid; the M87’s Bluetooth works but is slightly less consistent across switches.
Battery
Not even close. Logitech’s smart backlight + huge battery gives you 10 months no-backlight or 2 weeks with. The M87 gets a week of light use. If you hate charging keyboards, Logitech.
Who Should Buy Which
Get the Logitech MX Mechanical if you spend the day across multiple computers, you want the best productivity wireless mech available, you can swing the $160 price, and build quality matters to you.
Get the Attack Shark M87 if you’re new to wireless mechanical and want to test the waters cheap, you need a travel board, you want a TKL layout and don’t care about RGB, or you just want the spec sheet (dual-mode, PBT) at the lowest possible price.
The Bottom Line
For 99% of buyers, this isn’t really a competition — these boards serve completely different jobs. The Logitech is the long-term workstation keyboard. The M87 is the entry-level wireless mech or the second-desk knock-around. If you’re shopping at the budget end and just want to know if cheap wireless mech is worth it, the answer is yes — the M87 proves it. If you’re shopping at the premium end and want the best, the Logitech is the move.
