The Redragon K585 PRO is a left-handed mechanical gaming keypad built for one job — putting your most-used hotkeys, macros, and movement keys directly under your left hand while your right hand stays on the mouse. It’s a 42-key 40% layout with seven dedicated macro keys, and it ships with three connection modes (2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB-C) so it slots into any setup.

Out of the box, this thing nails the basics. Build quality is better than expected at this price point — the chassis is solid plastic with minimal flex, and the keycaps are PBT-coated rather than the cheap shine-prone ABS that haunts most sub-100-dollar gaming gear. The switches are hot-swappable, which is the feature that pushes this from “decent budget keypad” into “actually worth recommending.” Redragon ships these with their Outemu Blue switches by default, which are loud, clicky, and tactile in that classic mechanical-gaming-keyboard way. If you share a room or stream, swap in some reds or browns and move on with your life.

Where the K585 PRO really earns its place is in the MMO and competitive game space. World of Warcraft, Lost Ark, Path of Exile, Final Fantasy XIV, anything with a stack of bindings you cycle through constantly — seven dedicated macro keys plus a programmable layer give you enough room to bind every ability without resorting to keypad gymnastics. The included magnetic wrist rest is also worth a quick callout. Most bundled wrist rests are throwaway garbage; this one is actually usable for extended sessions.

The 2.4 GHz wireless mode is the one to use for gaming — Bluetooth is fine for casual work but the latency penalty is real. Battery life lands in the 30-40 hour range with RGB on, which is enough for a heavy week of gaming between charges. RGB itself is per-key with several onboard profiles you can cycle without software, which is appreciated if you’re not running yet another LED control app.

Value side of things, this is a hard board to argue with. Most one-handed gaming keypads cost 80+ dollars and don’t include hot-swappable switches, three connection modes, or a wrist rest. The K585 PRO undercuts that whole category while delivering most of the same features.

Verdict

If you need a left-handed gaming keypad with macros and want something that doesn’t feel like a budget compromise, the Redragon K585 PRO is the easy recommendation. The combination of hot-swappable switches, three connection modes, and a real wrist rest puts it ahead of every comparable board near its price. Default blue switches are the only real catch — swap those if quiet matters to you.
