How we evaluate computer speakers
The things that actually matter for a desk speaker: frequency response and how flat it is, bass extension and quality (not just quantity), stereo imaging at typical nearfield desk distances, maximum volume before distortion, and real-world use across gaming, music, and video.
We also look at connectivity, placement flexibility, and value relative to competing options. A speaker that measures well but costs twice as much as the competition for marginal improvement isn’t a better pick.
